Picture gallery: what to expect at our Accessibility Weekend

We are all exceptionally excited for our ROARR-some Christmas Celebration Accessibility Weekend – on 21 and 22 Dec.

This blog will hopefully help you to familiarise yourself with what the park looks like, what you can expect to see and hear on the day, and what activities you can experience at our event.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly admissions team who will help with your tickets on the day.

You can then head through into our park and try and spot some of our dinosaurs, enjoy our indoor/outdoor play spaces and even pay a visit to Father Christmas.

The sounds and music will be off from 9.30am until 11.30am and will then be at a reduced volume from 11.30am. This includes the music in The Lost World A-mazing Adventure, grotto, Dinomite Indoor Play and Indoor Picnic Area. The music which will be played during Dippy’s Disco Dancing (at 11.15am) will be quieter too.

We have some additional sensory items in our Narnia Maze, including windmills, wind chimes and ribbons.

During the weekend, we have a brand new quiet room – located near Dinomite Indoor Play Area. Inside will be bean bags, a bubble tube, chairs and lava lamp – and will be a space where people can relax and spend some quiet time – if needed.

Our Accessibility friendly grotto will be operating a time slot system for the weekend. You will be asked when you arrive to book a time to see Father Christmas – and you will be required to arrive at the grotto 5 minutes before the time.

You will enter the grotto and meet our elves and travel through the North Pole, into our boot room, into our magical lift and then in to see Father Christmas!

On the day, we also have a Mobiloo – which will be located on the patio area near to Dippy’s.

During the day too, we have Christmas crafts happening at the Secret Animal Garden – with plenty of animals to see – including our Kune Kune pigs, wallabies, donkeys, goats and many more.

You can also take a trip through our Dinosaur Trail, to try and spot over 110 life-sized dinosaurs – including our Brachiosaurus, T-Rex, Triceratops and many more!

We hope you enjoy our Accessibility Weekend and if you have any other questions, do give us a call on 01603 876310.
