A Day in the Life of Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure at Christmas
There are only a few days left at one of the best places to spend Christmas in Norfolk with all the family.
Our Christmas Celebration runs until 24 Dec, with tickets selling fast.
But, there is still time for you to come and meet Father Christmas (additional charge applies) and enjoy the festivities at Norfolk’s Best Large Visitor Attraction 2018.
As you arrive at award-winning Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, you can enjoy our over-sized decorations as you drive to the entrance gates.
You will then see our beautiful and rather large Christmas tree – with the lights twinkling – beginning your magical day with us.
After meeting our friendly admissions team, you will then receive your Christmas Celebration activity sheet and also Dippy’s Activity Sheet – containing the all important stamp trail!
Children are encouraged to find the hidden candy canes around the park – which have been hidden by Dippy himself!
If you find them all, you can then visit Guest Services to win a prize.
The activity sheet also contains information about our Christmas Raffle – available at Base Camp: Sales & Supplies for just £1. Prizes include a Dinosaur Toy Box, Step Stool and Rocking Dinosaur.
Make sure you also purchase your tickets to see Santa in his grotto – priced at £6.95 per child – including a gift from the big man himself.
After getting your souvenir photograph taken with our Events Photography Team, head to our ‘Dinomite’ Indoor Play Area where the kids can enjoy three levels of fun and games before the festive activities begin.
Our Christmas Facepainting runs from 11am until 2.45pm in ‘Dinomite’ as our elves are on hand to add some festive cheer to your face. Choose from lots of Christmas or dinosaur designs – prices start from £2.
You cannot afford to miss Dippy’s Christmas Disco Dancing – every day from 11.30am.
Featuring all of your favourite Christmas songs and even a popular ‘shark’ style favourite – get your groove on with our ever popular mascot.
From 11am, Santa will be meeting children of all ages in his grotto. Experience the magical walk through with our decorations and sparkly lighting, before meeting the man himself.
Santa will spend time with every child and talk to them about their Christmas wishes – and the important question as to whether they have been behaving all year!
The children will then receive a gift from Santa – all in time for Christmas!
We then recommend taking a stroll down to the bottom of the park, via our Neanderthal Walk, to treat yourself to a fish and chip lunch at The Explorers restaurant.
Our steam punk themed restaurant is set in the old Victorian walled garden and is perfect to take a brief break from dinosaur hunting!
After you have enjoyed your delicious lunch, make sure you stop off and see the animals in the Secret Animal Garden.
And if you head to our Animal Encounters Barn, you can decorate your own wooden Christmas decoration for your tree – during our craft sessions between 12.30pm and 1pm and from 3pm to 3.30pm.
Take a walk back through our Dinosaur trail and see who you can discover. We have heard that a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Brachiosaurus may be lurking in there somewhere! The perfect way to get some fresh air and learn more about our inhabitants – let’s face it – everyone is going crazy for dinosaurs at the moment!
There’s still more fun and games to be had at our X-Tinction fossil dig and adventure play area, before you enter our themed maze to finish the day.
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Winter Walk enables you to walk through the classic story and visit Narnia – but make sure you wrap up warm and stay away from the White Witch.
Before you leave, collect your medal and maybe stop by for a little souvenir of your day – before leaving our popular park with some lasting memories!
