Coronavirus (Covid-19) – Visitor Information
“It is with a very heavy heart that on Friday 20 March for the safety of all our customers and crew, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure will temporarily close.
“The health and wellbeing of our valued customers, crew and local community are of great importance to us and after hearing the advice from the government we feel that temporarily closing is the most responsible thing to do at this time.
“After this dreadful period is over we WILL re-open, so that our visitors can once again enjoy everything we have to offer.

I have already pre-booked my ticket, what do I do?
Any customers who have already purchased date-specific tickets will be able to move their pre-dated ticket to allow them to visit us at another time during 2020. Please call Guest Services if you would like any further information on 01603 876310 and our friendly crew will be able to assist you.
What do I do if I’ve booked a short break to Norfolk to include a trip to Roarr! and cannot travel?
We understand that many of our customers may have booked short breaks to the Norfolk area and may have purchased pre-dated tickets as part of that.
If you decide you would like to amend your ticket to an alternative date please contact our Guest Services department who will be happy to change this for you.
I am a Season Ticket Holder, what does this mean for me?
We are so sorry but for the safety of our customers and crew, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is now closed until further notice.
If you hold a season ticket for Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure please be assured that all season tickets will be extended for the full duration of our period of closure, to ensure that you have full use of your season ticket for the full 52 weeks.
Please refer to our website and our social media channels for further information. We will make further announcements about our re-opening date as soon as we receive the government advice that it is safe for our customers and our staff to do so.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is a family-owned adventure park in Lenwade, Norfolk.
The 85-acre park, which is open all year round except Christmas Day and Boxing Day, offers true family fun adventure of a Jurassic nature, including animatronic dinosaurs in natural settings, Dippy’s Splash Zone, Predator High Ropes, Secret Animal Garden and Dinomite – Norfolk’s largest indoor play area.
Dippy-ville, an indoor play space, inclues a soft play area with wall activities and BEAM, interactive digital floor games combining immersion and engagement for our younger visitors.
Dippy’s, our new Birthday Party Room and Indoor Picnic space, is located near the park entrance.
Guests can also explore the Deer Safari, Dinosaur Trail, Lost World A-mazing Adventure, Pterodactyl Treehouse, Stone Age Road Race indoor race circuit and X-tinction fossil dig.
Plenty of ROARR-some food outlets are available, including new The Explorers steampunk themed restaurant. The park hosts a number of family friendly themed events throughout the year – with online booking advised for best prices.
Season tickets are available for year-round adventure and individual admission costs vary depending on the season.
Opening Times & Prices
What are the ticket options for admission to the park?
We operate a height based admission at the park. Children under 90cm are free of charge.
Tickets can either be purchased at the gate or via our online ticketing system. Buy tickets online to receive great savings.
What times do the attractions open and close?
This does vary dependent on the time of year. A detailed list of the opening and closing times is available at the top of our Daily Activities page. A copy of this is also available on the park’s main advertising leaflet.

How do I purchase tickets online?
Tickets must be purchased in advance before the day of your visit to qualify for the online savings. Advance tickets will not be valid on the day of purchase. To begin your purchase visit our online ticketing system.
What does the admission price include and are there any additional charges once we gain entry to the park?
The admission price includes use of the new Predator High Ropes attraction, Dippy’s Splash Zone, Dinomite indoor play area, Secret Animal Garden, Dippy-ville (opening Easter 2019) Stone Age Road Race, Pterodactyl’s Treehouse, Raptor Racers, Jurrasic Putt, Adventure Play Area, Lost World A-Mazing Adventure and Tiny Terrorsaurs.
Deer Safari is open holidays and weekends (Easter to October half term).
Deer Safari is a seasonal attraction with a small additional charge to the daily admission of £2.00 for guests 90cm and over.
Face Painting is open Easter to October Half-term (Holidays and Weekends)
An additional charge of £2.00 for half a face or a hand design. £3.00 for a full face design
Are there any admission concessions?
We offer concessions for the following:
- Children under 90cm are free of charge (Effective from 6th April).
- Registered disabled adults and children as well as their carers receive a reduced rate.
- Senior Citizen (65+).
- Special concessions are available for groups of 12 or more paying guests.
Season Ticket Passes
How can I purchase a season ticket pass?
Season ticket passes can be purchased on arrival at admissions or if looking to purchase after entry upon production of your admission receipt, we will deduct the cost of your day’s admission. Conditions apply.
Season ticket passes can also be purchased via our online ticketing system.

Our new range of Gold, Platinum and Diamond ROARR-some pass packages will be available from 6th April 2019.

Do you provide a reduced rate for group bookings?
Reduced group rates are available for 12 paying guests or more, concessions are available for visits any day of the year. Please contact Guest Services to make your booking on 01603 876310 (option 2).
Do we need to enter the park together?
Yes, the group must enter the park together.
Do I need to book?
Yes please. We like you to book in advance so we can give you the best possible service when you arrive on the day.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, with pre-booking a deposit will be required 10 days prior to arrival. The remaining balance will be required on the day when you arrive.
When do I pay?
All group bookings must be made and paid for before arrival. Please note; we do not invoice for group admission after entry, all monies must be paid before entering the park.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made by credit/debit card (MasterCard, Visa or Switch) cash or business cheque and paid by the Group Organiser*.
What if we have not pre-booked? If arriving on the day without pre-booking make sure you know how many paying guests 90cm and over your group contains – as this will speed up your admission. Children under 90cm are FREE OF CHARGE so will not be included in the group of 12. Payment in full is required upon arrival on the day of the visit in one transaction*.
*Please note we do not accept personal cheques.
Where does the coach unload and park?
The organiser should instruct the coach driver to go straight to the car park which is clearly signed ‘Coach Parking’.
From the coach guests should make their way to the admissions area which is located at the top end of the car park.
Coach drivers are given free admission to the park and a lunch voucher is included to the value of £5.00.
Can we go back to the coach or car?
You are more than welcome to go back to your coach/car if need be. By obtaining a hand stamp at the exit of base camp, our gift shop, to allow for re-admission.
Are there any toilets near the entrance?
Yes, after entering the park, toilets can be found to the left of our First Aid building.
What should I do if I lose a child?
Notify any member of crew or go to our Guest Services, which has contact with all other locations around the park.
Can I have a map of the park?
A map of the park is included in our Park Map & Guide which can be obtained from either Admissions or Guest Services. Alternatively it can also be found on our park map page.
At what age group is Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure and its attractions most suitable for?
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is designed for families with children of any age up to 15 years old. There are many attractions on offer for all ages. Attractions include Predator High Ropes, Dippy’s Splash Zone, Dinomite indoor play area, Secret Animal Garden, Dippy-ville (opening Easter 2019) Stone Age Road Race, Pterodactyl’s Treehouse, Raptor Racers, Jurrasic Putt, Adventure Play Area, Lost World A-Mazing Adventure and Tiny Terrorsaurs. Children must be supervised at all times. For more details see our attractions page.
Are there height restrictions on any of the attractions?
Predator High Ropes, our minimum height safety guidelines are set at 100cm (accompanied by an adult) and 120cm (alone).
Children under 100cm are also required to be accompanied by an adult on Stone Age Road Race.
Are there any attractions which we are likely to get wet on?
Yes, Dippy’s Splash Zone is a multiple water featured fun activity. For this reason we do recommend you bring swim wear and a towel for your children. We kindly request no shoes are to be worn in this area. There are no changing facilities for Dippy’s Splash Zone.
This attraction is open from Easter until Sunday 29th September.
Are any attractions closed at certain times of the year?
In adverse weather conditions certain attractions may not be open for safety reasons. These will be clearly signed near the admissions building and notified on our website. However, if Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is closed subject to circumstances beyond the park’s control, or adverse weather conditions, guests are not entitled to a refund.
Do any of the attractions contain flash photography?
No, none of our attractions contain flash photography.
On The Day
Can I use my credit and/or debit card in the park?
Yes, we accept all MasterCard and Visa Credit and Debit Cards, except American Express Cards.
Can I obtain cash at the park if required?
Yes, “Cash Back” is available at Admissions, Guest Services, Dinomite Café and The Explorers and Nautilus. Please Note: Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure does not have an ATM machine on-site.
Does the park accept personal cheques?
Unfortunately we do not accept personal cheques as payment.
How long does it take to leave the car park?
Please be aware that on peak days some queuing is likely when exiting the park. If you wish to avoid this we advise leaving earlier prior to the park closing.
Is it easy to find our way around the park?
Yes, to assist with this each group receives a Park Map & Guide which includes a detailed ‘Map of the Park’, when you purchase your admission tickets, further copies are available from Guest Services if required.
Are all areas of the park easy to access?
All of the park is accessible however you should be aware that not all areas are level tarmacked. The Dinosaur trail and Neanderthal Walk in particular run through woodland areas. We recommend those who use wheelchairs are aware of the steep path of Neanderthal Walk. Assistance can be sought from a member of the crew at the park with this, or alternatively please use the Dinosaur Trail.
Do you hire wheelchairs and children’s buggies?
Wheelchairs are available to hire free of charge from admissions, with a £10.00 refundable deposit. We do ask that these are pre-booked prior to arrival by telephoning 01603 876310 (option 2). We are pleased to offer disabled visitors the opportunity to hire a mobility scooter. Hire price is £10 (per day). All we ask is for credit / debit card details to be left as security during the period of the hire. These are returned to you after the loan period.
On your arrival at the park, a member of the park’s admissions team will spend a few minutes briefing you on the handling and controls of the mobility scooter. You will then be asked to sign a disclaimer. These are in limited supply so are offered on a first come, first served basis. Single stroller / pushchair hire price is £8 (per day) and double stroller / pushchair hire price is £11 (per day).
Does the park operate a dress code?
Yes, in line with our family image. Ladies and Gentlemen are requested to wear suitable attire especially when using Dippy’s Splash Zone and the restaurants. There are requirements for Dinomite (long trousers and long sleeves if wanting to use the larger slides) and for Predator High Ropes covered shoulders and no dresses or skirts. You also need closed toed and closed heeled shoes (no flip flops or sandals).
Do you allow smoking in the park?
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is a non smoking park. However, there are two designated smoking areas on the site. These can be pointed out to you on the parks map when entering if required.
Do you have medical assistance on-site that is available in the case of incident?
When the park is open to guests we always have a qualified First Aider on-site who is based at Guest Services which is located in Dinomite. In addition the park also has qualified First Aiders employed who are also crew members to assist if necessary.
Can I change my baby anywhere whilst at the park?
Yes, baby changing facilities can be found at various locations in the park.
How do you deal with lost children?
The park operates a well-rehearsed lost child procedure whereby lost children are reunited with their parents/guardians as quickly and as safely as possible. If a parent has lost a child they are to make their way to Guest Services or contact the nearest park crew member.
Do you allow dogs or pets in the park?
We regret dogs (except for fully registered assistance dogs) are not permitted in the park. Assistance dogs must be fully harnessed and have the appropriate jackets to clearly identify them as assistance dogs. Assistance dogs undergoing training are not permitted. We advise you do not bring a dog with you and animals should not be left in cars. Having an assistance dog does restrict you from entering the Secret Animal Garden due to the health and welfare of the animals.
What catering facilities are there at the park?
Dinomite Café, The Explorers Restaurant* & Nautilus* (takeaway), Ice Age Treats* and Dippy’s Snack Shack*.

Are you able to cater for guests with specific dietary requirements?
When you arrive at the park, please ask to speak to one of our Food & Beverage team and they will be pleased to assist. If you have anything that may require some forward planning prior to your visit please email: guestservices@RoarrDA.co.uk
Are we permitted to bring a picnic into the park and are there places where this can be eaten?
Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics and there are ample areas around the park, including Dippy’s new indoor picnic area, located by the park entrance. We also have an undercover designated picnic area, located near Dippy’s Splash Zone.
Only food purchased within the restaurants can be consumed within these areas.
Have you covered areas in the event of inclement weather?
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is fundamentally an outdoor attraction; however there are still areas that can be enjoyed when the weather is inclement. We have Dinomite, our large indoor play area and café with a capacity of 350 and Stone Age Road Race* which also contains seating.
Brand new for Easter 2019 is Dippy-ville* – an indoor play space which will encompass a soft play area with wall activities and BEAM, interactive digital floor games combining immersion and engagement for our younger visitors.
You can also enjoy The Explorers Restaurant*, offering a unique steampunk Jules Verne 20,000 leagues under the sea theme.
Our Secret Animal Garden barns (housing reptiles and small animals), Dippy’s new indoor picnic area and Base Camp: Sales and Supplies gift shop, can also be enjoyed.
Have you got lockers where personal items can be left whilst we are in the park?
Yes, these can be located in Dinomite and are a £1 refundable deposit. We also have some chargeable waterproof lockers located at Dippy’s Splash Zone, at a charge of £1. There are some lockers for use at Predator High Ropes, as guests are not able to take loose items on the the attraction (no charge).
Can I exit the park to collect belongings from our car during the day if required?
Absolutely, by obtaining a hand stamp at the exit of base camp, our gift shop, it allows guests to exit the park to collect and return belongings to their car whenever they wish.

Is there a car parking charge?
No, all car parking is free.
What facilities have Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure got to cater for guests with disability needs?
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is located on a mostly flat site with some tarmacked pathways. Our trails run through woodland, although they are levelled to make them accessible there is quite an incline in some areas. The vast majority of the attractions are accessible. If you wish for further information please contact Guest Services on 01603 876310 (option 2).
In addition, we are proud to be able to offer the following:
- Disabled parking, please note these are restricted in numbers and do fill up quickly on busier days.
- Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire is available and we do request that these are pre-booked prior to arrival by calling our Guest Services on 01603 876310 (option 2).
- Disabled toilet facilities, please see Park Map for the locations.
Have you got a “fast track” scheme for guests that may have difficulties queuing due to an accessibility need?
Unfortunately we do not operate a fast track system, however if it is required we try our best to assist you with entry.
